Intel 80G SSDs (G1) at Microcenter $199

Great price for the gen 1 as the gen 2 seem to have gone up to about $350 after their recall. Performance was close to G2 not sure if they will support TRIM but my thought is that it is likely.
 
are gen1 drives still worth buying? or would it be better to pay a little more for gen2? I have the opportunity to buy a used gen1 drive, but I think gen2 might be more worth it or even a vertex/torx, I don't know

Like Lothar mentioned, Intel G1 SSDs don't have TRIM support which I think is a VERY important feature. So important that I wouldn't consider an SSD without it. 😉
