Just wondering if you were to get a Samsung 840 Pro and an Intel 520 ssd which one would you put your OS on? Have a friend who is doing a new build. He brought a 840 pro. His sister and her husband brought him 520. Cant decide on which to make his os drive and which to use as a small storage drive (he will also have a larger 2tb green drive as a larger store drive as well)

240/256 versions
Not asking which is better but if you had both what would you use each drive for on the same system?

I would use the samsung as the boot drive but that's just me. In all honesty he can't go wrong either way as both are quality drives.

I would use the Samsung for Boot and 64GB of the Intel as a cache for a large HDD. That leaves almost 200GB of free SSD space for stuff.
Of course only if your mainboard supports Smart Response.

I'd use the 840 Pro as the OS drive. I currently have two SSD's and I just have one with Windows 8 and one with Windows 7 just for variety. I have new games on one and old games on the other also just for variety.
