Intel 330 SSD 60GB Slow?

I have experience building computers using Intel X-25M, Samsung 830 and Crucial m4, but this time I had used a Intel SSD 330 60GB, and the AS-SSD benchmarks are as follows:

You think I have a bad drive? According to anandtech review of the 330, even the 60GB is going 350++ MB/sec write on AS-SSD.

I am running on a Asus P67 board (on a sata 6gbps port and using the sata 6gbps cable)

Isnt AS-SSD Incompressible data? Sandforce controller's will choke on that so i would say the numbers look right. use ATTO if you want to see the numbers most reviewers will show on the drive.

I would recommend CrystalDiskMark over ATTO as its much clearer to see random figures than ATTO.

But Crystal uses incompressible data by default as well (though it has the option of using compressible, I think).

I have a few of these in the 180gb size they fly. I have found that most 60-64gb ssds write much more slowly then advertised. I try to get 180gb to 256gb sized ssds.

Hmm. I am sure CDM uses compressible and AS SSD uses incompressible..?

Nope. CDM uses incompressible by default but you can switch to compressible (File > Test Data). Just tried this to make sure I remembered correctly.

There is nothing wrong with the drive. As stated by ShintaiDK, smaller SSDs typically have much lower write speeds. The drive will be plenty fast under normal usage patterns, which involve a lot more reading than writing.
