So .. I've had this 'issue' on and off, havent been bothered enough with it to actually do something about it until now.

Thing is, this beast keeps dissapearing on me in the bios.. So cant boot from it.
It is my main boot drive, so this should be serious, i know, but what can i say, i am a slob.
It also happens so, that my "next" boot drive has grub on it, with a valid reference to my 320, and this way i boot just fine into my main os (win7).

So.
This comes and goes. What gives? I am almost ready to do backups .. you know, just in case.

ps. been going on since i got the drive .. over a year ago.

also, reason i post this now is a bsod, bad memory and instinctively it does seem to come after sudden power offs, but on the other hand i rarely shut down my computer so i am not confident in stating it as a pattern.

You can look at the Unexpected Power-Loss in stored in SMART data. If it is very close to the Power cycle count, this could indicate a problem with cabling or a software issue causing unsafe shutdowns.

Did you apply the firmware fix for the Intel 320 series? This is very important, specifically in cases where the SSD unexpectedly loses power, which happens far more often than people think.
