the built-in sound on my mobo doesn't work. btw i have a msi k7t266 pro2 ru raid. the ac97 thingy inside cmos is already enabled. i also installed drivers in winxp. whats missing or wrong?
 
Aside from the usual driver and BIOS fixes, check to make sure that you really don't have sound. Most on-board sound is unamplified, so try turning it up to highest volume and recheck.
 
Why would you want to use onboard sound anyway? Just go grab yourself a Hercules Fortissimo II for $40 shipped. =)
 
well...i think ill just use my sb live 5.1 while my new system isn't here yet. ill buy a new card later...eheh..thanks anyway
