Integrated sound drivers won't load

I have a new system using ASRock sis746FX on K7S8X mainboard. The onboard includes integrated sound. I have added 1 AIW Radeon 7500. The sound is C-Media and the Cd includes the drivers for loading the media controller which does load properly. However, the disk stop at 94% while attempting to load the audio drivers. As a result I have absolutely no sound. Device ,amager shows everything correctly loaded excluding the audio drivers. I have tried to load updated drivers but they stop at 94% also. I have uninstalled the controller time and again but the same problem reoccurs.

Am I better off just getting a sound card and disabling onboard audio in the Bios?

I'd be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.
 
If you are using Windows OS, then see if you can get the drivers from their update site.
