integrated NIC woes

hi. i just put together a new system w/ the Biostar M7NCG as the mobo. it has an integrated nic but will not connect to my network. i've installed all drivers and junk so it recognizes the adaptor but still won't do anything. i know it's not my network because i threw a linksys nic in there and it works fine. i'm using xp pro. is there some trick to getting integrated NIC's to work ?
any suggestions are appreciated. thanks.

You do have it turned on in the bios, righttt?? Sounds like you do if winblows detects it. Sometimes you just have to turn em off and use a pci nic and let that be the end of it.
