Hello,
I have this old GPU from my previous computer that is giving me an headache because the fan runs always at full speed. I don't play games just video editing and 1080p playback. I was wondering (even if I don't play games) if the Intel HD4000 integrated in my i5-3570k is better, on par or worse?

The HD4000 is much better for video playback. Video editing I doubt any make any difference since its mainly CPU dependent. Gaming wise the HD4000 may win since the 2600Pro was a lowend card in 2007.

HD4000 is fine for normal use. I wouldn't have bothered with the 2600, it's the kind of card that's made obsolete since cpu's come with an igp.

Well, recycle it or give it away to someone with a Core2Duo and needs the upgrade. ;)
