Integrated Intel Graphics with Dual DVI

Hey guys,

I'm looking to build a new Ubuntu box, and Intel-based motherboards tend to have the best support with their OSS drivers. That said, I run two 22" LCD screens at 1680x1050. The resolution's high enough that if I use VGA, that screen looks significantly worse. Thus, I want to use 2 DVI ports. But I'm looking to use integrated Intel graphics to free myself from driver worries.

I've tried Google, to no avail. I'm hoping someone has a suggestion. Thanks!

Most (or all?) of the recent Intel chipsets with onboard video can support an "ADD2" card that adds DVI or HDMI output.

Here is one example with dual DVI: http://www.directron.com/pegasusadd2dl.html

I've never personallly used one (even though I own one...in a box somewhere) and I have no idea how well they work.

OMG, that's perfect! I'm going to have to see if I can pick that up here in Canada. And it lists the G35 chipset being compatible, which is great! I MAY wait for the G45, but I'm a cheap student, so maybe not, lol!

Thanks!
