Integrate voicemail and your mailbox

I would like to setup a voicemail system that can forward the message as an email (with mp3 or wave attachment) to each individual mailbox. This is for my home, and I think this would be awsome if we can get this to work. Is there any opensource solution for this ?? I dont even mind getting some hardware if they are not expansive.
Any info or suggestion is appreciated...
