Integrate vesa arm into case?

These have gone off the market, but can you turn a chassis that is designed to hang on the back of your monitor into something like that?

Are there 'symmetrical' vesa arms that fasten both ways?

Couple years ago, I was looking at the wall-mount devices for LCD monitors. There was plenty of that type of hardware. So there has the be SOMETHING that you could apply in that manner, probably with some minor "case mod" choices. You might want to tap threaded holes for the right screws. The drill bit, tap and "corkscrew" would probably run you $10 at Sears.

Actually I might not need this if there is some way to control the computer that is hung on the back of the monitor (without reaching around)

This would obviously include turning the thing on and accessing a few usb ports.
