Insuring Home Electronics??

Is there a way to insure home electronics thats cost effective and provides excellant protection?

Just wondering if these plans cover breakage or just theft, fire damage, etc

I have like $7k in Electronics in my room ranging from a JBL System, Plasma, flatscreen, computer, xbox 360 etc.

Any decent homeowner's/renter's insurance should cover theft and fire.

Yep and you will find it is cheaper than any other you can find.

When you get a policy, make sure it is for the full replacement value. Some policies base their coverage on cash value which means coverage is paid out on the depreciated value. In the event of a disaster, you don't want to find out that the $7K you spent on your gear is now only worth $3K in the eyes of the insurance company.
