It's all "states rights" until the word gun is involved ...

haha, yes. ...but then, that is constitutional.

Of course, the "armed and proud" crowd is also the crowd that wants the government completely out of their pants....until their state tells them they can't have guns, at which point they go crying to the feds to give them back their guns.

it's a funny dance.

In case you haven't kept up, the 2nd is now a fundamental civil right, fully incorporated. It's the same as free speech now.

Do try to keep up. The lib favorite 14th was used to incorporate the 2nd. God bless the USA.

But please do keep the deflections going.

Is spidey trying to blame the govmint for private sector greed again? Spidey, what you so mad about? The insurance industry got the health care bill it wanted. The American people lost and your side won but you just keep pissing and moaning.

My favorite insurance industry crapola is that private health insurance costs so much because private insurers are subsidizing medicare and medicaid. It's not that private insurers are paying too much but that wasteful govmint is paying too little for the same service. PFFFFT!

how does me saying that it is constitutional right differ from you calling it a "fundamental civil right?"

what's the difference, here? is that not the implication of being a constitutional right?

where did I get lost? are you just being bitchy again?

Here come's Obama's goons! Stop telling the truth insurance companies or we'll get you and you won't be allowed into the pool! Is flag@whiteshouse.gov back up yet?

Obama - "We can't get rid of the insurance companies right away to move to single payer, but over a short time we can absolutely get rid of them"

"There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases," Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a letter to the insurance lobby.

"Simply stated, we will not stand idly by as insurers blame their premium hikes and increased profits on the requirement that they provide consumers with basic protections," Sebelius said. She warned that bad actors may be excluded from new health insurance markets that will open in 2014 under the law. They'd lose out on a big pool of customers, as many as 30 million people nationwide.

"Health insurance premiums are increasing because of soaring prices for medical services, the impact of younger and healthier people dropping their insurance during the weak economy, and additional benefits required under the new law," said Karen Ignagni, president of the insurers' trade group. "It's a basic law of economics that additional benefits incur additional costs."
