I suppose insurance doesn't cover the cost of mods put into a car?

I found out that a celica GT-S motor bolts into a corolla. I've heard a price of around 2-3K for the install. I take it insurance won't cover it in the event of a collision/theft.

i'd doubt it would...what is the motor cost in addition to the 2-3k install...?

You're probably correct. I believe you can insure your car for a certain value, but of course you will pay more. You should definely talk to your insurance agent and if that company can't insure your car for the value you want, switch companies.

That's the total cost including a motor from a salvage yard. Supposedly anyways, that's second hand info, I didn't verify it. It'd be great to build one heck of a sleeper.
