Insulating a peltier setup

I'm now at the point where I'm bored with a stable 949 MHz (Coppermine 650 overclocked), and want to stabilize 975, and possible 1007. I know a stable 975 is very likely, since it's seldom crashes at that speed now with a Golden Orb. But I've only booted at 1007 once (it even went to the desktop, then crashed after about a minute). I can't even post at 1007 now...

Anyway, back to the main topic: how can I insulate my peltier setup properly to prevent condensation? I've had a bad experience already where an uninsulated peltier (cooling a Celeron 300A @ 504) caused much condensation (after moving from a dry area to a humid area) and water dripping onto my GeForce DDR :(
So I figure I'd give the peltier a shot on my P3-650 FC-PGA. This time though, I want to make sure I have proper insulation, but I have no prior experience checking for proper insulation or just even using insulation. Any suggestions?

Also, would a Golden Orb be sufficient for dissipating a peltier running at 5V? This is the peltier: CP 1.4-127-045L from Melcor - http://www.melcor.com/cpseries.htm

Thanks.

I wouldn't use a golden orb for any peltier application. Even at 5V. First off, at 5V, you probably won't gain very much with a peltier. Secondly, i'm not sure the gorb can even handle a peltier(at 5v) in addition to cpu heat at 1ghz+.

Thirdly, mounting the orb with a peltier becomes a whole new set of hassles. IMO, it just isn't worth doing it.

I had sufficient cooling with 5V to get my Celeron to be stable at 504. All it needs is to keep the CPU cooler - doesn't have to be those sub-zero temperatures that others are getting with water blocks and commercial peltier kits. Mounting isn't a problem; I can find a way. I had a HP Arctic Circle (the original orb) mounted to the above Celeron via tightly-wound, thick thread, with tension increased via some wire twisted around parts of the thread (hard to explain in words). I guess if I wanted to carry out with a peltier on my Coppermine, I'd have to get another one of those HP Orbs again :p

Thanks for the response though. I had a feeling the Golden Orb was pretty weak for my intentions... I just needed someone to confirm this :)

I also overclock, but why do you guys hardcore-overclock? Is it worth the extre MHz for a broken Video card??

The Panaflo ORB's can handle something like 100W of excess heat, you could have run that peltier at 15V and it should have been fine.

GOrb's dont' have that excess "safe area". They can handle the excess heat of a p3, but not too much more.
