Insufficient System Resources Error

I have a Dell Optiplex GX280 and the techs can't seem to figure out this one either. It is a P4 3.0GHz with 1Gb DDR2 RAM and 80Gb of hard disk space with about 67Gb left.

Sometimes the computer works great, it's an office one so all it does is access Outlook, Word, Excel, IE, and a few specialized law programs. Then once in a while, and more recently, it will give an "insufficient system resources..." error. I thought I fixed this thing three times too because the first time, it was due to mostly Microsoft Outlook, so I patched Outlook 2003 to the latest version. Problem fixed... for a while. Then it happened again, this time, it wasn't just Outlook, it was any program that pushed it to a certain memory threshold. Okay, got another stick of 512Mb DDR2 and then that fixed the problem... for a while. Then it started happening again, and this time I'm out of ideas.

The error will occur when a lot of things are open. As of right now, it's 2 IE, 3 Excel, 1 Outlook, 1 Abacus (law prog), 2 Word, and major progs running in the background are NAV Corporate. When I go to open another program that requires access to the network drives or just try to access the network drives directly... or even print on a network printer, it will give an "insufficient system resources" error.

I'm starting to think it could be NAV Corporate because I read somewhere that the older versions (7.60) has a memory issue. BUT, this doesn't affect any other computer in the office so I can't understand why it would affect it on this one.

Any ideas?

Clean out your USER\TEMP folder (it is hidden in WinNT \ 2k \ XP ).

Most likely you have open files (not closed properly by Office) that need to
be cleared out (MS Office loves creating these).
