Jelly, how about when X is better than Y.
Alas, "better" is almost always subjective. But you're right sometimes it's not and in those clearcut cases we have opted to let the Master dictate to us.

Well I would say that better is never subjective, or it wouldn't be better. I'm relatively absolute about things, i'm afraid.

Sorry Moonie, that's utter bullsh!t. Nature is dog eat dog, and we are but a product of nature.

Unless of you've changed your tune and suddely believe in God and the fact that we're more than advanced animals.
I believe it has always been "dog eat dog." However, the pace of this behavior has certainly picked up its pace over the past few years - and people are not so discrete about it any more. Look at all of the highly-educated business executives who'll fiddle with the accounting numbers ... only to have it haunt them six months later. :(

Picked up the pace? I think humans are far more compassionate we used to be. The fact that we give the poor ANYTHING is a major step from where we used to be. Poor people used to be locked outside the city gates to die.

But I guess being given food stamps and government housing isn't enough for some of you. You won't be happy until the lazy are as wealthy as the productive.
