Looking for suggestions for a instant messaging program that supports aim... other than aim and trillian and gaim.

Since you said other then Trillian I would also suggest Miranda. If you spend a little bit of time customizing it then it is an amazing instant messenger.
 
Any reason for me to use Miranda over AIM+DeadAIM?

I used to use Trillian but got really tired of its incompatibilities with file transfers and direct connects.

EDIT: I guess a smaller footprint is one reason right off the bat. Anything else?
 
well i dont only use aim i use mIRC and occassionally some other prgs, but mainly AIM an mIRC.
