After dropping my daughter off at school yesterday I got to experience instant karma.

Heading north through the intersection near the school at 20mph I was passed by a Mercedes who had made a right on red onto the north bound road. There’s a protected right turn lane going west to turn north.

He saw me going 20mph and i guess he thought I was just puttering along for the hell of it and immediately gunned it to zoom around me.

This was just in time for the cop to step into the road and signal him to pull into the shopping center parking lot where they like to hide 4 days a week pulling over people who speed in the school zone.

I’m the blue arrow, Mercedes in red.

The cop then pointed at me, driving a car that lends itself to being pulled over ( a Subaru BRZ in rally blue with black BBS wheels no less), to keep going. I laughed for a good minute afterwards.

Maybe he didn't know he'd turned into the midst of a school zone?

Oh and karma isn't a thing.

The school zone started before he made the turn but the cops know people forget it continues after they go through the intersection.

Would you allow Carma?

I had two glorious instant karma moments on the road in the last few years.

1. A Camry was tailgating me, so I picked up the pace way over the speed limit, but he still kept coming. Once I got near a speed trap, I slowed down to the speed limit, because it was right after the top of a hill and into a blind curve where a cop with a radar gun would be waiting. The Camry saw me slow down and used that opportunity to bypass me and floor it. Then blammo, right into the cop who pulled him over. LOL. That guy should have known something was up when I suddenly slowed down.

2. We were all stuck in traffic so an SUV used the shoulder to cut in front of people. I was pissed at all the rocks he was kicking up at other cars as he drove by. A half mile up the road, I see him pulled over by a cop. Made the rest of my morning.

School zones should be abolished. Let Darwinism take affect and maybe the unplanned products of stupid will reduce in number--and forward non-stupid products--or maybe they'll move away from congregated forms of education.

Agree completely. I know, I know, it's FUCKING CRAAAAAAAZY that countries like Japan can manage it where kids literally find their way to their school daily by means of walking and other normal public transit... But we just have to keep coddling our stupid kids it seems.
