Installing XP x64 Trial on a TForce 550

I downloaded the XP x64 Trial for experimentation on my Athlon X2 w/ Biostar TForce 550 mobo. Everytime I try to start the x64 install from the CD, it pops up a message about APIC not being detected and to enable it in the BIOS. I'm using the 6/15/06 BIOS (this site has newer ones but I don't see them anywhere on Biostar's website), and it has an unselectable field that says APIC Enabled.

Has anyone managed to get x64 installed on this mobo?

OK, I got it to work by enabling ACPI. Stupid disingenuous error message -- if it had meant ACPI it should have said ACPI, not APIC!!!

Grrr!
