I was wondering, if installing XP in a laptop (specifically ASUS Z63A) is any different from installing in a desktop.

Will I need special drivers?? or anything?? I am a newbie to laptop

thanks

No, you will not need special drivers. But you will need the regular drivers for your video card/lan/sound/etc.

what about partitioning the hdd?

How can i partition it before installing winxp?
(i just know how to partition it if it is a secondary hdd attached to my desktop computer, but I figure I can't take my hdd out from the laptop)
