Installing XP home with upgrade CD and OEM key

I just purchased a laptop that has XP home on it. I want to do a clean install of XP home but I do not have a full version on CD. I do have a XP home upgrade CD that was purchased but I do not know if the OEM key on the laptop will work with the upgrade disc. Does anyone know if this will work?
 
You wont be able to use the OEM cdkey with the upgrade CD, youll need an OEM CD.
