Hey guys,
I'm building a new comp, everything is blank. I wanted to install my OS on a SATA Raid0 array. Here's my setup:
CPU: P4 2.6C
MOBO: Asus P4P800 Deluxe
MEM: 2x256 DDR400
HDD: 2 WD Raptor 10000RPM (WD360GD) Raid 0 config
Video: Geforce4 ti4600
CD: TDK VeloCD
So the Raid controller for Serial ATA is built into the South bridge on the MOBO. So I am able to configure it into an array. But when I boot from the WinXP CD to install, it says there are no drives detected on my system.
Also in the BIOS, it does not list my raid array as an IDE or HDD, but it is selectable as one of the options in the boot sequence. Any ideas?
How about if I install WinXP when they are NOT raided, and then convert the drives to RAID, what happens then? Cuz when they're not in Raid 0, windows detects them fine.
Thanks! Please email me if you have any suggestions.
