I was wondering if I formatted my HD and installed WinME, and say I didn't like it, can I use my restore disc and go back to the way it was before, minus all programs I had and so forth?
You're sure about it? It's not for me, but for my buddy. He thinks that if he did it and didn't like it he couldn't go back. You would just format again and then use the restore cd. Correct?
Chevyboy the restore CD will even format the Hard Drive so you dont even have to do that. We use Compaqs at work and we use Compaq restore CDs all the time. Just boot off the restore CD and it will come up with a option to format the drive in one of the menus and then it will restore back to factory settings after the format and restore.
