Im building a computer for one of my friends, and when ever i try to install windows during the setup file copying process i get errors like ntfs.sys, cdfs_file_system, and some other ones ive tried diffrent motherboards, powersupply, cpu's, harddrives i just dont know whats wrong

your errors are real exact, but if I had to guess...I don't but I will...I would say it is a memory problem. (could also be a bad CD)

mendez you should try to be more specific - you list no specs and you give only a vague description of what is happening. the only thing anyone else would do in your situation, given the info provided, is google all of the error messages you are receiving. good luck.

ive tried an amd duron 1.8, amd athlon xp 2100+, ecs k7vta3 mb, some cheap chaintech mb, and an ECS K7S5A, theres 256 mb of PC2100 AllComponents memory,120 gb WD Caviar hd, and a 400W psu that came with the case and the cd is fine

Don't suppose you would like to furnish us with any useful info, would ya?

Hardware?
What error msg?
When does it pop up?
Does it always get to the same point?

Just summarising what Melty and silicon said.

Don't expect any useful help till you post back. Nothing personal - but my balls ain't made of crystal
