Installing Windows Xp on a Mp3 player

As the topic says, i am aware that its possible to install it on a flashdrive, but i was wondering if its possible to install it on a mp3 player that functions just like a flashdrive? has anyone tryed this before ?

If your BIOS supports booting from a USB device, I don't see why not, although you'll fairly quickly destroy the memory cells if you try to run an OS on flash memory.

I read an article about this recently, actually.... I think it's been done.

Of course there are a million legal issues as well.

If you're just trying to boot up into a nice GUI to fix something, you should look at BartPE, or some linux distro like Knoppix.

Edit: There should be no difference between a flash drive, and mp3 player flash drive.

The real question is: "Why would you want to?"

Knoppix is better, and it is designed to be run off a CD.

definately download knoppix and burn the iso to a cd, and boot from it. it has saved my life numerous times.
