Installing Windows with card readers attached.

Nocturnal

I am installing Windows onto a new hard drive. The thing is, I create the partition, format it and then have Windows install itself. It sets the main hard drive as I: as opposed to C:. Is there anyway around this or to have Windows set it at C: no matter what?

Unattach the card reader while you install. If you have multiple machines to install on, and this would be inconvenient do it once and make an image.

You can change drive letters on all drives except your system drive. My dad's drive is I:\ too. Quite annoying.

What's annoying about it? Everything should default to %SYSTEMDRIVE% or %USERPROFILE% so the letter shouldn't matter except in cases of poorly written software.
