Hello

I have formatted a 15 GB HD, And have tried installing 98, Me, Original Gateway software

All I end up with at the end is :

Runtime error 200 at 0666:0091

Is this a PC error, or is it a HD error..

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks
Dave

Does this error occur after the installation process is complete and upon initial boot up? If so...with it boot in the safe mode. Or, does this occur during install? More info would help. This was a common problem on older systems and I believe was related to speed matching...essentially the processor running too fast for the application.

Hello

Actually I got that error after I used a gateway install CD, It loaded but after 1st reboot
it gave me that error..

I reformatted the HD, Took a Windows ME full version CD and tried to install it..
That is giving me this error:

standard mode : Fault in MS-DOS Extender

EC=02f8 CS=0053 IP=2871 AX=FFFF BX=0000 CX=FFFF DX=FFFF
SI=0277 DI=0186 BP=4278 DS=004B ES=0304 SS=004B SP=426E

I have never had errors like this before on any other PC just this Gateway Performance

When I put the ME CD in it started to work.. The got an error about disk compression
that haulted the install.. Then I manually tried to install it and then I got the new error listed above.. Not really sure what the problem may be...

Any help will be appreciated..

Thanks
Dave

Update:

I changed HD's to a HD I know that is good.. Here is what I am getting now, Still trying to
load Win ME on the replaced HD gave me additional codes:

standard mode : Fault in MS-DOS Extender

EC=02f8 CS=0053 IP=2871 AX=FFFF BX=0000 CX=FFFF DX=FFFF
SI=0277 DI=0186 BP=4278 DS=004B ES=0304

Here is the additional codes that are listed under the ones I have above:

Standard Mode: Bad fault in MS-DOS Extender
Fault: 000D stack dump: 030C 0000 0070
Raw fault frame: EC=02D0 IP=24AB CS-0053 FL-3039 SP=00f2 SS=004B
please remove any floppy disks from your drives
and press any key to restart system

I thought of that, But I have every operating system.. 3 ME CD's, 2 98 CD's 3 98SE cd's, Win 95 win 2k win XP.. everything I do I have been getting errors.. never ran acrossed this before.

Regardless what I try I get errors.. I took a good HD with win 98 fresh install on 1 PC and put in this system.. got errors.. tried reformatting ( That works fine ) But the 2nd I try to boot to a HDthen probs start.. zIt will boot to command prompt no problem..
But if any windows is installed.. Then I get errors.
