installing windows on new system

Im about to rip my hair out, so I figured I'd come and post and hope that someone has some idea as to whats going on.

This is the computer specs:
Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI mobo
BFG 6800GT OC PCIE
1GB Mushkin PC 2700 Dual Channel
etc.

Everytime I try to install windows, 1 of 2 things happen. Either it says that it was unable to copy a required file from the CD for installation (I've tried with 6 different CD's, all to the same avail) or if it manages to get past that, Ill get a BSOD during install, which let me tell you is pleasant. The error messages on the BSOD's are always different, and the file that it cant copy from the CD is always different. I dont understand whats going on. Please help.

Thanks
