installing windows on new machine?

I'm just finishing a new system and I'd like to install WinXP Pro on it, but I only have the upgrade version. Will I need to install Win98 SE first and then do a clean install of XP? This could be a problem since the new rig only has a SATA drive and I don't think Win 98 will recognize it... Anybody know how this works?

Thanks,
Chris

it should not be a problem. During in the install it will prompt you to insert the Win 98 disc, verify that it is real and continue loading windows XP. No need to install Win 98 first, it is actually better to not upgrade as it can and will cause many problems.

Thanks, I thought that was an option but I searched around and couldn't verify...
