ok so here is the question.
How can i install, successfully, mind you. Windows onto a USB hard drive.
1)
my hard drive is bootable
2)
windows setup sees the hard drive, formats it and installs the files.
3)
When the system reboot windows will boot up and go to the windows loading screen with the "Knight Rider" LED that goes across the screen and then it gives a BSOD with the error 0x07b everytime.
4)
when choosing safe mode its actually loading drivers directly from /windows/system32 so i dont see what the problem is.
upon looking thru TechNet you will find this means more or less that the OS cant find the hard drive.
Which means it's contradicting itself since its already booting the OS.
There has to be a fix for this, alteration of some file, some driver that needs to be installed to force the OS to know everything is Kosher...
p.s.
has anyone ghosted a good working normal HD and then restored the image onto a USB drive and made it work ?
but i'm stumped..
