installing windows on a DS3

Just got my DS3 C2D together. Booted first try. Went to install windows XP and once it says starting Windows at the bottom left screen(before you go into format and stuff) it BSOD. Error shows some kind of Hard Drive issue. It says to check connections and try again. The HD works fine and shows up in BIOS. I tried native SATA settings with no luck. Any ideas?

BTW I got Rev 2.0 and on gigabyte site its listed as DS3P? Or am I looking at the wrong board?
