Installing windows 2k on Iwill kk266r mirrored array

For some reason when it gets to the partition part of setup, it recognizes the drives are there but when I try to install to that partition, it says it is not a windows 2000 compatible partition and doesn't give me the option to format it to ntfs or anything. I deleted the partition and created a new one and it says New (unformatted) in the partition and going to installation gives me the same error as above. I need to get this done for work asap can anyone give me some suggestions on what I need to look for or might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

You mean you have raid 1? Can you just install it on one hard drive and add the mirror later on?
also you might need the drivers for the raid controller card. press F6 and insert the floppy with drivers when prompted.

Yes I do mean Raid 1, and I have tried installing it on one hard drive then using that one as the source to build the array, it simply BSOD right after starting up windows. I also tried using F6 to install the raid drivers, that's the only reason it recognized the drive in the first place I think, but I still can't get past the part about it not being a windows 2000 compatible partition. Has no one seen this error before?
