Thanks for all your guy's help in being able to read cds now from the dos prompt off a boot disk, but another problem has arisen. I can read from the cd, but when I try to run the setup.exe it says that this program can not run in msdos. ARGHH I am going to go crazy, any suggestions.
Thanks
Schola

If you are upgrading from NT 4.0, or W98 run Winnt32.exe

If you are upgrading from within NT 4.0 run i386\winnt32.exe

For a clean setup in Dos use i386\winnt.exe

Ok thanks that worked, now it said something about smart drive, whats that, I just went without it. Was that a mistake.
Thanks

smart drive is a temp drive used by the setup program to temporarly store diagnostic tools if you need to trouble shoot before installing.

The install program will still install the Operating system

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. But damn this process is slow, takin nearly 45 minites to copy the files. Anyways I degress, thanks for the help.
