This 2011 released laptop had a 2nd gen Core i3. Even with the latest BIOS update(dated 2018), I was unable to get Windows 11 bootable UFD to boot. Probably something to do with needing 64-bit UEFI and this laptop had "experimental" UEFI support. So I put the Win11 install.wim in the Sources folder on a 32-bit Windows 8.1 bootable UFD. It booted and asked for the Windows 11 serial and the copy files phase went great until the very end when it displayed an error saying that the installation file was corrupt and no changes will be saved. It was probably comparing some hash value. I did NOT click OK because I didn't want all the progress to be lost. Pressed the power button for a hard shutdown and booted it back up. Everything went without a hitch and Windows 11 is working perfectly with Intel iGPU. Had to disable the Radeon GPU because as soon as its driver installed, the laptop would freeze. Could be an issue with just this particular laptop. Hope this post will help anyone else considering keeping this ProBook alive for another few years for basic Microsoft Office work or browsing.
