Installing Win2k screwed up WinXP...

Now when I chose Windows XP professional at the boot menu, it comes up with an error saying "Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMd Startup options for Windows 2000, press F8."

This only happens when I try to run Windows XP. If I try to run Windows 2k, it works fine.

Anyone know how I can fix this? Someone here told me that installing 2k after XP on a different partition wouldn't cause any problems. Apparently they were wrong :(

the recommended installation of a dual boot system is first Windows 2000, and then Windows XP... if you install windows 2000 after winxp, the win2000 boot loader will overwrite the boot loader files of winxp ...
