Installing Win2k over Win2k

HI
I need to know if it is possible to install windows 2000 over windows 2000 without lossing data or applications, like windows 98.
The reason is that I have been having some shut down problems and it seems that no one is able to resolve that so now Iwant to install windows 2000 over itself and I have already paid for the installation of a graphic application and I don't want to pay twice. I f you know what I mean.
So,is it possible?
Please help I am really desparate.
Thanks

Can't you save your app? Burn it to a CD or something? Maybe you can just repair Win2K. Put your Win2K CD in and you can tell it to repair a previous install. Worth a shot, I guess. But sooner or later you're going to want to format and do a clean install. It's just inevitable. Good luck.
