I have a question here...I've got a win98se machine whose crashing is pissing the stuffing out of me. So, I'm going to put win2k on it to see if that can help.

What's the best way to do it and causing the least pain to my system?

I currently have my hard drive partitioned up so win98 is on C, my apps are all on a different drive, data on another, downloads quarantined elsewhere and another one for mp3s and archival stuff...

So, I create a partition for win2k pro. I think I'll use fat32. All my data and everything will be fine.

My question is about my apps. Do I have to reinstall them for win2k or can it transfer them? If it can transfer them is it advisable?

Also, if anyone has any advice of another nature or a good pointer to a decent faq (my dream would be a newbie faq for people who already know a little something about computers) please let me know...

Muchas gracias mis compadres.
