going to install a second hdd in my win98 system. i want to keep the new hdd separate from the original and put win2000 on it. how should i go about setting it up so that i can dual boot? do i have to enter the bios and tell the system to boot from the second hdd every time i want to go to win2000? also, how will the new hdd be seen in win98? thanks for any help

ok, jsut install the hard drive, and then boot from the win2k cd. it will detect win98, and you can select to install win2k on the second hard drive, and thus leave win98 untouched. what it will do is put a couple of files in the root directory of your win98 drive (i believe ntldr, boot.ini, maybe a few others), and that installs win2k's boot loader. you shouldnt have to touch your bios. when you boot, the boot menu will show up, which is those files i talked about, and you pick which OS to load, and it will boot that OS.

pretty simple actually, you were thinking too hard ;)
