The official mobo page doesn't show any Win10 drivers, and the default-installed HD Audio driver in 1809 doesn't seem to work.

I was able to find a new v1400-Win7-Win8.zip driver package at www.via-drivers.com , (CZ site for Via drivers).

Manually unzip drivers, go into Device Manager, HD Audio Device, Properties, Driver, Update Driver, pick directory, browse to unzipped directory, install.

BOOM! Now we've got audio in Win10 again. :)

Edit: Look under the driver list, for 1708S, under Win8 64-bit.

7 and 8(.1) drivers usually work on 10 in a pinch.

How is performance on that platform? I'd guess usable.

Yeah, it was usable. At least, as usable as it was on Win7 64-bit.

AM2+/AM3/AM3+ has a very long lifespan!

I have this board running Windows 10 (Phenom X2 555@X4, 4GB DDR2@800MHz) and sound always worked with the default driver. But it was a Windows 7 upgrade to W10 and not a clean install.
