installing win. xp on a laptop

so im gona reinstall xp on a laptop that came from bestbuy with one of my xp disks. Because of the driver requirements for touchpad and stuff on laptops, is there anything to consider before i do this?

I would download all of the latest drivers for your laptop from the mfg's website and burn them to a cd. On some laptops with SATA hard drives in AHCI mode it's required to hit F6 during XP setup to define mass storage using a floppy disk with the proper driver.
