Installing Vista -- Dual boot quetion!

I'm going to be installing Vista tomorrow and I want to dual boot, so I've got some questions!

I've got a 320GB HD with my XP on it now, I've got another 320GB drive coming with Vista tomorrow, I can install Vista on the new 320 and keep XP on my other drive, right? And with doing that what else do I have to do to set up dual boot?

How do I set one to load vs the other (always vista booting unless I choose other wise?)

Any other tips or help on dual booting?

Sorry for the noob questions, just don't want to mess something up tomorrow. 🙂

There are a couple of ways to do it. The easiest would be to just install the new drive and install Vista on it. Vista will create a boot manager on the first hard drive, which will allow you to select Vista or XP (if you want to change the default, it's in the OS config somewhere, I think one of the System window tabs). This is what I'm doing right now and it works fine.

Or, you could install the new drive, unplug the current one, and install vista. This will contain Vista to that drive. You'll need to change the hard disk boot order in the BIOS to choose between them.

Thanks for the help. I am about to isntall it now. Wish me luck! *Prays nothing explodes :x*
