Installing Ubuntu on my T41 laptop... - Driver Issues?

Thinking of ditching XP for awhile and trying out Ubuntu on my IBM T41 laptop... Just curious as this would be my first foray into Linux on a laptop, will i run into any driver issues?

I installed on my T43p over the weekend and had no issues with any of the hardware on it. Everything just works!!

I use the Thinkpad wirless abg II mini-pci-express card on my T61, and it works as smooth as butter with madwifi-ng drivers under Fedora.
Expect smooth sailing with the older T41.

I have a T42p and at the moment, the only problem I have is with the sound driver (only with the latest kernel). Whenever I hibernate/suspend, the sound stops working. A restart doesn't help. Just when I turn the machine really off and start it again, the sound starts to work again. But in general, I'm really happy with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.

I would just run Ubuntu off of the live CD to see how it matches up with the hardware on your T41.
And then install it.
But from what I have read and as stated above it should match up pretty good.
I'm running Suse 10.2 on a R40 without any problems.
I think most of the ThinkPads match up with Linux fairly well.

so i got it installed (dual boot) and all works great, except one thing.. the fan constantly runs.... any ideas?
