So I needed a bike rack for the 2012 Highlander (Limited 2WD), but did not have a tow hitch/frame/receiver installed. After some research I realized that the trunk mount ones won't fit or not a good idea on a HL.
Started calling the local dealerships and shops, most of them did not have in stock and the ones that did were asking upwards of $500. So turned to internet and found tons of resources, and seems like for under 200 I can get the receiver, installation looks easy, planning to order the Curt one for $133.60 delivered (3 cheers for Amazon Price, AGAIN!!) today and give it a shot. There are more expensive ones available too, but as I am actually not planning to tow anything, though this should be good enough. On Toyotanation everyone was rooting for the Curt, Any final words of advice, anybody has experience with these? Is curt a good manker? or should I spend another ~$40 and get the different make? is that worth it?

Here is another site I researched

I got one (hitch/frame/receiver) for one of our Jeeps from UHaul; Installation came with it.
