Hi guys,
I'd like to install some games and other applications on an external hard drive to save space on my SSD. I'm planning to use an eSATA, 2.5", 7200 RPM hard drive which I'll carry with me.
Being eSATA, I figured it would be fast enough to install and run applications on. Is there any reason why this wouldn't work? Obviously I wouldn't be ejecting the HDD in the middle of running a program that's installed on it, and I wouldn't be installing anything that's intended to stay running all the time (like antivirus). It would primarily be games.
The main reason I'm asking is because I haven't ordered the drive yet, and I want to make sure I won't be wasting my money.
Thanks guys.
