installing SB pci128 black screen

I recently cross traded for a SB pci128 here on the boards and now im having some problems.

With the card in the pci slot the screen goes black after the windows loading bar finishes on windows xp pro sp1.

I have integrated sound but I have tried disabling it in BIOS.

Before that I have tried deleting the codecs for the ac97 (integrated), rebooting etc. I cant get into hardware manager because its just a black screen instead of windows.

Anyone knows the solution i would appreciate it a lot 🙂
 
Maybe the SB is fubar'd. Can you try it in another computer? I have a SB where the computer won't even power on when it's installed.
