Installing Satellite Radio, anyone do this?

I thought you actually went under the weatherstrip to get inside originally...now I see the trick....you run it around the outside of the rear window trim (assuming a coupe), then under the trunk weatherstrip.

How good are the through glass antennas? Does anyone make a combo AM/FM/Satellite one? My antenna is mounted on my rear quarter panel.

my sirius magnet antenna has been on the trunk lid and the roof with no issues...just hide the wire somewhere. ymmv

I don't have my antenna mounted outside of the car. I have it on the rear shelf. Never had a problem with reception. I have the standard antenna that came with the car kit BTW.

A lot of people keep their antennas inside their car instead of mounting it outside. Those that keep it inside either put it on the rear shelf or up top somewhere on the dash. But most choose rear shelf.

i just set the antenna next to the windshield on the dash, works fine for me
