Installing SATA2

Ok I noticed my SATA disc that came with my MSI K8N-Neo4/SLI is just SATA Raid.

Is it neccesary to boot off a Floppy to install any SATA drive or can I just hook it up and install through bios like a IDE HDD?

If this sound nOObish sorry this will be my first build so I don't want any trouble and I don't know that much about Installing the OS and Bios but like mechBgon said he doesn't really recomend SATA for first time builders so i dont want any trouble.

I will be using a Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 SATA2 HDD
All I want to do is boot it up with the OS and not have any trouble, will this be possible with this drive?

press F6 when windows says so, insert floppy, be happy.
