Installing SATA Drivers

I'm planning on building a new system with one 74gb Raptor SATA drive as my primary storage. Will I need a floppy drive to install drivers for it?

Yes, you'll need a floppy.

What is the mobo? I've heard that some of the newer boards have much better native SATA support... but t be safe use a floppy...

If it is an Intel board with the ICH5R southbridge chip then no, because it is native. If you planning on running RAID then you will.
