Installing Sat radio on a Tundra

For Christmas I got a sirius unit and prepaid gift subscription for service. The install notes for the antenna seem rather easy, but when looking at my tundra I'm not sure it's going to be as easy as the diagram indicates. When looking along the weather stripping that follows from the room down to the door, it seems that mine doesn't combine with the door opening and instead heads towards the hood (Meaning I can't simply tuck it from outside to inside).
 
Anyone have experience with the pre '07 tundra and running the antenna cord the way they show? Also how well does the cord simply tuck under the rubber stripping?

I got my wife a Sirius for Christmas. We don't have a Tundra, but in our GMC Jimmy we just sit the antenna puck on the dashboard, it gets a great signal. You might try that before going to too much effort.
